Involving your community and stakeholders

Every health charity is embedded in a community of people – your beneficiaries, and carers, supporters, researchers and clinicians. It is vital when you develop a strategy that you listen to the people who your work is intended to benefit, and to everyone you will rely on to deliver, including your own staff, researchers and healthcare professionals.

A group of people sit together and exchange views as valued stakeholders.

At Amplify Science, we can guide you through the process of engaging with and involving your community and other stakeholders, making sure that you consult with different groups of people at the right time and in the most appropriate way.

We can support you in producing engagement materials that stimulate the right level of discussion – pitched to the audience, and moving over time from broad, high-level questions, to more detailed conversations about particular priorities. We can help you design survey questions and facilitate focus groups, or provide advice on when you might want to run a formal priority-setting exercise with a third-party provider.

Amplify Science works to a core set of principles, and one of these is that strategy should be developed with your community, rather than produced for it. We can help you embrace the many opportunities that engagement and involvement bring, and ensure that your strategy places its beneficiaries right at its heart.
